Given :

Perimeter of a square is 28 cm.

To Find :

Area of the square

Solution :

We know,

        Perimeter of the square = 4 × (Length of each side of the square)

Let the length of the sides be 'a'

So,    Perimeter of the square = 4 × a

⇒                  28                        = 4 × a

⇒                  a                          = \frac{28}{4}

∴                   a                          = 7 cm

Therefore, length of each side of the square is 7 cm

Now, Area of the square (A) = (Side)²

                                              =  (7)²

                                               = 49 cm²

∴ The area of the square is 49 cm².
