Perimeter =40cm
Side = 40/4=10cm
Now,area = side ×side =10×10 cm
=100cm^2

Let the perimeter of square be 40cm..

As we know that perimeter of a square is 4a

40cm = 4a

a= 40/4

a=10 cm

Area of a square is a^2

So area is 10^2=100 cm^2
