Find the area of a traingular field whose sides
are in the ratio of 9 : 40 : 41 and whose
perimeter is 18 metres.

sum of all side=perimeter of a triangle

9x+40x+41x=18

90x=18

x=0.2

so the all three sides are

9x (x=0.2)

=1.8

40x

=8

41x

=8.2

now the area of the triangle is

where p is half the perimeter, or

(a + b + c )÷2

here P=18÷2

P=9

√9(9-1.8) (9-8) (9-8.2)

= √9×7.2×1×0.8

=7.2
