Answer :
- The area of trapezium is 285 dm².
Step-by-step explanation ::
To Find :-
- The area of trapezium
Solution :-
Given that,
- The length of the two parallel sides of trapezium are 16dm and 22dm
- The height is 15dm
As we know that,
Area of trapezium = 1/2 × ( a + b ) × h
Where,
- a and b are the two parallel sides of trapezium
- h is the height of trapezium
According the question,
=> Area of trapezium = 1/2 × ( 16 + 22 ) × 15
=> Area = 1/2 × 38 × 15
=> Area = 19 × 15
=> Area = 285
∴ The area of trapezium is 285 dm².
Now, Verification
=> 285 = 1/2 × ( 16 + 22 ) × 15
=> 285 = 1/2 × 38 × 15
=> 285 = 1 × 19 × 15
=> 285 = 19 × 15
=> 285 = 285
L.H.S = R.H.S
