area of trapezium = 1/2 * distance between two parallel sides * ( sum of two parallel sides)

therefore here
area = 1/2 * 15 * (24+20)
= 1/2 * 15 * 44
= 22 *15
330 sqcm

The area of a trapezium is 330\ cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Parallel sides of a trapezium are 24 cm and 20 cm

The distance between two parallel sides is 15 cm

We need to find the area of a trapezium. The formula used to find the area of trapezium is given by :

A=\dfrac{1}{2}\times (\text{sum of parallel sides})\times (\text{distance between them})

Putting all the values such that,

A=\dfrac{1}{2}\times (24+20)\times 15\\\\A=330\ cm^2

So, the area of a trapezium is 330\ cm^2.
