Given : a  trapezium whose parallel sides are 10 cm and 12 cm and distance between them is 4  cm

To Find : area of a  trapezium

Solution:

Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2) ( sum of parallel sides) * distance between them

=> Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2)  (10 + 12) * 4

=> Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2)  (22) * 4

=> Area of  a trapezium  = 11* 4
