Answer:

base = a

height = b

area of triangle =

 \frac{1}{2} bh

a+b =64

a-b = 12

a=64-b

64-b -b = 12

-2b =12 -64

-2b = - 52

b = -52/-2 = 26

a+b = 64

a + 26 =64

a = 64- 26

a = 38

area of triangle =

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 26 \times 38

1/2 × 988

988/2 = 484

Step-by-step explanation:

area of trianglr 1/2(base×height)

a-b=12

a+b=64

2a=76

a=38

b=24

area = (26×38)/2

=494

thankyou
