Step-by-step explanation:

18+10+3rd side= 42

3rd side = 14 m

Apply heron formula

s= 42/2= 21

√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

√21(21-18)(21-10)(21-14)

√21(3)(11)(7)

√3×7×3×11×7

3×7√11

= 21√11 cm²

If perimeter = 42 cm

First side length = 18 cm

Second side length = 10 cm

Then, third side length = 42 cm - (18 + 10) cm = 14cm

So, semi-perimeter = 21 cm

Area = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)} = \sqrt{21(21-18)(21-10)(21-14)} = 69.65cm²
