h \: = \: 0.005 \times 10m

b \: = \: 6400 \times 10m

a \: = \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h

a \: = \frac{1}{2 } \times 6400 \times 10 \times 0.005 \times 10

a \: = 3200 \times 0.005 \times 100

a \: = 0.16 \times 100

a \:  = 16 {m}^{2}

Answer :

›»› The area of a triangle is 1600 m².

Step-by-step explanation :

Given :

  • Height of a traingle = 0.005 * 10 m.
  • Base of a triangle = 6400 * 10 m.

To Find :

  • Area of a rectangle = ?

Knowledge required :

The area of triangle is defined as the product of half, height and base of a triangle.

i.e,

Formula to calculate the area of a triangle is given by,

Area of triangle = 1/2 * b * h.

Here,

  • b is the base of triangle.
  • h is the height of triangle.

Units,

  • The unit of base is meter (m).
  • The unit of height is meter (m).

Solution :

We know that, if we are given with the base of triangle and height of triangle then we have the required formula, that is,

Area of triangle = 1/2 * b * h.

By using the formula to calculate the area of a triangle and substituting all the given values in the formula, we get :

→ Area of triangle = 1/2 * (0.005 * 10) * (6400 * 10)

→ Area of triangle = 1/2 * 0.05 * (6400 * 10)

→ Area of triangle = 1/2 * 0.05 * 64000

→ Area of triangle = 1/2 * 5/100 * 64000

→ Area of triangle = 1/2 * 5 * 640

→ Area of triangle = 1 * 5 * 320

→ Area of triangle = 5 * 320

Area of triangle = 1600.

Hence, the area of a triangle is 1600 m².
