Answer:

Answer is

96  \: c{m}^{2}

Explanation:

Use this formula-

 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

Here,

S-semi perimeter

a,b,c -sides of triangle

s =  \frac{a + b + c}{2}

a=12

b=16

c=20

s =  \frac{12 + 16 + 20}{2}  \\  \\ s =  \frac{48}{2}  = 24

put values of s and a,b,c in formula

area =  \sqrt{(24)(24 - 12)(24 - 16)(24 - 20)}  \\  =  \sqrt{24 \times (12) \times (8) \times (4)}  \\  \\  = 12 \sqrt{2 \times 8 \times 4}  \\  = 12 \times 8 \\ 96  \: c{m}^{2}
