Given : Sides of a triangle ∆ are 3 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm respectively.

Let the sides of the triangle are a = 3 cm, b = 4 cm & c = 5 cm.

Semi Perimeter of the ∆,s = (a + b + c) /2

s = (3 + 4 + 5) / 2

s = 12/2

s = 6 cm

Semi Perimeter of the ∆ = 6 cm

Using Heron’s formula :

Area of the wall , A = √s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c)

A = √6(6 – 3) (6 – 4) (6 – 5)

A = √6 × 3 × 2 × 1

A = √(2 × 3) × (3 × 2)

A = √(2 × 2) × (3 × 3)

A = 2 × 3

A = 6 cm²

Hence, the area of a triangle is 6 cm².
