hey mate!!!

here is ur answer!!!

let the given ratio be x...
then the sides will be 5x, 12x and 13x

according to the question,

perimeter of a triangle = sum if all the sides

60 = 5x + 12x + 13x

=> 60 = 30x
=> x= 2..

than the sides will be 5* 2 = 10
12* 2 = 24
13* 2 = 26

Hope this helps u!!!!

let the sides be 5x ,12x ,13x
now perimeter = sum of all sides = 5x +12x +13x =30x.
now given that perimeter is equal to 60cm
so 30x =60.
implies that x=60/30 = 2.
thus sides will be 10,24, and 26.
now it's clearly visible that 10,24,26 are sides of a right angles triangle....with the hypotenuse side as 26. you can cross check it by applying Pythagoras theorem...
now area of triangle = 1/2*(base*height)
now this triangle being a right angled triangle you can take any one of two sides(except hypotenuse )as the base and the other as height.
thus area of triangle is 1/2*(10*24) = 120 cm.square
