Find the area of a triangle whose vertices are given as (1, –1) (–4, 6) and (–3, –5).

Area of triangle = 1/2 × [1(6 + 5) – 4(–5 + 1) – 3(–1 – 6)]

= 1/2 × [11 + 16 + 21]

= 48/2

= 24 sq. units
