The area of triangle is 10 square centimeter

Solution:

The area of triangle is given as:

Area\ of\ triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height

Given that,

Base = 5 cm

height is equal to that of rectangle

Therefore,

length of rectangle = height of triangle

Rectangle with base 5 centimetre and 20 cm square

Area\ of\ rectangle = 20\\\\length \times breadth = 20\\\\length \times 5 = 20\\\\length = 4

Thus,

Height of triangle = 4 cm

Therefore,

Area\ of\ triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times 5 \times 4\\\\Area\ of\ triangle = 10

Thus area of triangle is 10 square centimeter
