find the area of a triangle with sides 18 cm and 10 and the perimeter is 42 cm

Given,
The sides of triangle : 18 cm and 10 cm
Let the 3rd side be x.
So,
Perimeter of triangle => 18 + 10 + x = 42
=> 28 + x = 42
=> x = 42 - 28
=> x = 14cm
The 3rd side = 14cm.
Semi perimeter = Perimeter/ 2
semi - perimeter = 42 / 2
s = 21cm

Area of the triangle ( according to heron's formula ) = √ s ( s - a )( s - b )( s - c )
= √ 21 ( 21 - 18) (21 - 10) (21 - 14)
= √ 21 × 3 × 11 × 7
= √ 4851
= 69.64 cm^2
