AnswEr :-

• The area of the triangle ABC is 5√455cm².

Given :-

• A ∆ ABC with sides as 12cm, 18cm and 20cm.

To Find :-

• Area of the ∆ ABC.

SoluTion :-

First we've to find the semi - perimeter of the triangle.

Here,

a = 12

b = 18

c = 20

Formula for finding semi - perimeter (S)

» S = a + b + c / 2

→ S = 12 + 18 + 20 / 2

→ S = 50/2

→ S = 25

Formula for finding area of the triangle

» s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c)

→ √ 25 (25 - 12) (25 - 18) (25 - 20)

→ √25 × 13 × 7 × 5

→ √ 5 × 5 × 13 × 7 × 5

5455cm²

Hence, the area of the triangle is 5455cm².
