From the fig. i drawed, we can calculate a as

a \:  =  \:  {1}^{2}  -  {0.5}^{2}  \\ a = 1 - 0.25

a = 0.75

Now, area of traingle is

Ar. = (1/2)×1×0.75 => {1/2 × base × height}

Ar. = 0.375
