find the area of an equilateral triangle with perimeter equal to 18 cm and altitude measuring 4 cm .

Heya,

According to the question,

Perimeter of triangle = 18cm

Altitude = 4 cm

As the triangle is equilateral triangle so, one side of triangle = 18/3
= 6 cm

Area of triangle = 1/2×base ×height
= 1/2×6×4
= 12 cm²

Therefore the area of equilateral triangle = 12 cm²

18=4a
18/4=a
9/2=a
Area of equilateral triangle=√3/4×9/2=9√3/8
