as we know that the area of equilateral triangle = side^2 (root3/4)

here,

area = 24^2 [(1.73)/4]

area  = 576 [(1.73)/4]

area = 144 * 1.73

area = 249.12 cm^2

i hope this will help you

area of equilateral triangle=root 3/4*a^2
                                          =1.73/4*24*24
                                          =1.73*6*24
                                          =1.73*144
                                          =249.12 sq.cm
