Let ΔABC be the isosceles triangle
AB=AC
given:-
let base be BC=16cm
perimeter=36cm
AB+BC+CA=36cm
2AB+16=36cm
2AB=36-16cm
2AB=20cm
AB=10cm
AB=AC=10cm

construction:-
Draw AD⊥BC
BD=DC=1/2×BC= 8cm

By Pythagoras theorem in ΔABD
AB²=AD²+BD²
(10cm²)=AD²+(8cm²)
100cm²=AD²+64cm²
AD²=100cm²- 64cm²
AD²=36cm²
AD=36cm
∴The are of ΔABC=1/2×BC×AD
                              =1/2×16×6cm²
                              =48cm²
Hope that helps you!!

Hi friend here is Brainly star Roman1111 reporting in and here is your answer

Let ABC be the isosceles triangle where AB = AC.

It is given that base, BC = 16 cm.

Perimeter = 36 cm

⇒ AB + BC + CA = 36 cm

⇒ 2AB + 16 cm = 36 cm

⇒ 2AB = 36 cm – 16 cm = 20 cm

⇒ AB = 10 cm

So, AB = AC = 10 cm.

Draw AD ⊥ BC.

Plz friend refer further sum in the pic

Hope it helps you............!!
