by Pythagoras theorem,

AB²+BC² = AC²

2AB²=30²

BC = AB = 15√2cm

Now,

Area of isosceles right angles triangle =

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times \: height

 = \frac{1}{2}  \times 15 \sqrt{2 }  \times 15 \sqrt{2}

 = 15 \times 15 \times 2 \div 2  \\  = 15 \times 15 = 225cm
