The sides of the isosceles triangle are 8 cm... 5 cm... 5cm..
s=8+5+5/2
s=9
Area of the triangle = under root{s(s-8)(s-5)(s-5)}
Substitute the value of s and find the area...
The triangle will form two right angled triangles when perpendicular CE is drawn..
Length of CE can be calculated by applying Pythagoras theorem
