where  

s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}

s=16+17+17/2=25

\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}  (s-a=25-16=9)(s-b=25-17=8)(s-c=25-17=8)

\sqrt{25*9*8*8}

\sqrt{5^{2} *3^{2}*8^{2}

=  5*3*8

=  120
