Find the area of an isosceles triangle whose base is 6 cm and perimeter is 16 cm.

Answer:

16-6=10cm

a=b=5cm

semi perimeter =s=a+b+c/2 =5+5+6/2=16/2=8cm

area of isosceles triangle =√(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

=√(8(8-5)(8-5)(8-6))

=√8×3×3×2

=4×3=12cm²
