as two sides of isosceles are equal

side = (36-16)/2= 20/2 =10

semi perimeter = 36/2 =18

by heron formula

√{s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)}

√{18 (18-16) (18-10) (18-10)}

√{18*2*8*8}

√{2304}

= 48cm sq
