Answer:

let a=5cm. b=5cm c=8cm

Here,

S=a+b+c/2

S=5+5+8/2 cm

S=18/2 cm

S=9cm

area of Triangle using heron's formula =

_/S(S-a)(S-b)(S-c)

[ _/9(9-5)(9-5)(9-8) ] cm^2

[ _/9×4×4×1 ] cm^2

[ _/3×3×2×2×2×2×1×1 ] cm^2

[ 3×2×2×1 ] cm^2

12 cm^2
