To find : Area of rectangle
Solution:
Let say Radius of Arc with in rectangle = R
and Radius of Semicircle = r
Sides of rectangle would be R & R + r + r
= R & (R + 2r)
Area of rectangle = R(R + 2r)
as 5 cm length is tangent to semicircle
=> 5² + r² = ( R + r)²
=> 5² + r² = R² + r² + 2Rr
=> 25 = R² + 2Rr
=> 25 = R (R + 2r)
=> R (R + 2r) = 25
Area of rectangle = R(R + 2r)
Hence area of rectangle = 25 cm²
the area of blue rectangle. = 25 cm²
