r=7
h=24
req. Canvas= CSA of cone
=πrl
l= √24sq+ 7sq
=√576+49=√ 625
l =25m
now,
req. Canvas=22/7×7×25
= 22×25
=550 m
Area req. of canvas is 550m.

Given:

Height of conical tent = 24m

Radius of conical tent = 7m

To Find:

Area of the canvas

Solution:

Slant height = l = √r² + h²

Substituting the values -

l = √ (7)² + (24)²

l = √ 49 + 576

l = √ 625

l = 25

The canvas needed to make a cone will be equal to the cone's curved surface area

The curved surface area of cone = πrl

= 22/7 × 7 × 25

= 22 × 25

= 550

Answer: The area of the canvas requires is 550m²
