Given :-

Radius of circle = x cm

To Find :-

Area of circle

Area of semicircle with same radius

Ratio of their area

Solution :-

We know that

[Area of circle = πr²]

⇒ Area = π(x)²

⇒ Area = πx²

Now

[Area of semicircle = πr²/2]

⇒ Area' = π(x)²/2

⇒ Area' = πx²/2

Now

Ratio = πx² : πx²/2

⇒ πx²/(πx²/2)

⇒ πx² × 2/πx²

⇒ 2/1

⇒ 2 : 1

Therefore

Area of circle is πx² cm, Area of semicircle is πx²/2 cm² and ratio of their area is 2 : 1
