Question :-

Find the area of circle whose diameter is 15 cm long .

Given :-

  • Diameter of circle ↠ 15 cm

To find :-

What is the area of circle ?

Solution :-

  • diameter ↠ 15 cm

As we know that

⇒ r ↠ d / 2

Now ,

⇒ r ↠ 15 / 2

⇒ r 7.5 cm

Area of circle = πr²

π 3.14 or 22/7

Now

put the values in the above formula we get ,

⇒ A ↠ 3.14 × ( 7.5 )²

⇒ A ↠ 3.14 × 56.25

⇒ A ↠ 176.625 cm² .

hence,

  • Area of circle ↠ 176.625 cm² .

☛ Extra shots :-

• Volume of cone ↠1/3 πr²h

• Volume of sphere ↠4/3 πR³

• Volume of cube ↠ (Side)³

• Volume of cylinder ↠ πr²h

• Volume of Cone ↠ ⅓ × πr²h

• T.S.A of Cube ↠ 6 × (Side)²

• T.S.A of Cylinder ↠ 2πr² + 2πrh

• L.S.A of Cube ↠ 4 × (Side)²

• L.S.A of Cylinder ↠ 2πrh

• L.S.A of Cone ↠ πrl

So, area of the circle is 176.62 cm^{2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Diameter of circle = 15 cm

To find: Area of the circle

Solution:

Circle is a geometrical shape that has an enclosed area of a defined radius.

Area of circle is given as \pi r^{2} where r is the radius of circle.

Radius of circle is half of the diameter of circle.

So, radius = diameter/2

r=\frac{15}{2}cm \\r=7.5cm\\

Radius of the circle is 7.5 cm.

Now,

area=\pi r^{2} \\area=\pi X r Xr\\area=\pi X7.5X7.5\\area=176.625 cm^{2}

So, area of the circle is 176.62 cm^{2}.
