Given:-

  • Diameter of Circle = 16 cm.

To Find:-

  • Area of Circle

Formula used:-

  • Area of Circle = πr²

  • Radius = \dfrac{Diameter}{2}

Solution:-

As we know,

Radius = \dfrac{Diameter}{2}

Radius = \dfrac{16}{2}

Radius = 8\:cm

Now,

Area of Circle = πr²

Area of Circle = \dfrac{22}{7}×8²

Area of Circle = \dfrac{1408}{7}

Area of Circle = 201.14\:cm²

Hence, the Area of Circle is 201.14 cm².

More Formula for Circle:-

  • Diameter = 2 × Radius

  • Circumference of Circle = 2πr

We know that the area of the circle is, A=\pi r^{2}

The diameter, d= 2r

Therefore solving for d=16 cm we get,

A=\frac{1}{4}\pi d^{2}  = \frac{1}{4}\pi 16^{2} ≈ 201.06193
