GIVEN:

Radius of the circle = 8cm

TO FIND:

Area of the circle

SOLUTION:

Area of the circle is equal to πr²,

where π is is an irrational number: 22/7 or 3.14

r = radius of the given circle

So, Area of the given circle = π(8)²

= 3.14 × 64

= 200.96 cm²

ANSWER: 200.96 cm²

Additional Formulas:-

Perimeter of a circle = 2πr

Perimeter of a semicircle = πr + 2r

Area of a semicircle = 1/2 πr²

Area of a quadrant = 1/4 πr²
