The area of the circle is approximately 50.28 cm²

Given data :

Length of the rectangle = 12 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 8 cm

So,

The largest circle in a rectangle has the diameter which is equal to the width of the rectangle.

So, circle's diameter = 8 cm

Circle's radius = 8/2 = 4 cm

Circle's area = π × 4 × 4 = 22/7 × 16 = 50.28 cm² (answer)
