As in a circle there are two sectors i)Major sector ii)Minor sector
Major sector ∠Ф >180°   i.e   the central angle is more than 180°
Minor sector ∠Ф<180°    i.e   the central angle is less than 180°

As per the question the sector of central angle is 45°  and corresponding sector of it is the major sector as its central angle is more than  i.e 360°-45°=315°
Hence the corresponding sector's central angle is Ф = 315°

Then Area of corresponding sector = Ф/360° × πr²
                                                        = 315/360 × 22/7 × 28 × 28
                                                        = 2156 cm²

:) Hope this Helps !!!
