1) Area of crossroads = Area of 2 rectangles - Area of middle square.

Area of 2 rectangle = 2( Length x Breadth )

= 2( 6 x 2.1 )

= 25.2cm ^2

Area of middle square = (Side) ^2

= ( 2.1 )^2

= 4.41cm ^2.

Total area = 25.2- 4.41

= 20.79cm^2.

2)Area of crossroads = Area of 2 rectangles - Area of middle square.

Area of 2 rectangle = 2( Length x Breadth )

= 2 ( 6.3 x 3.3 )

= 20.79 cm^2.

Area of middle square = (Side) ^2

= (3.3) ^2

= 10.89cm ^2.

Total area = 20.79 - 10.89

= 9.9cm^2.
