Find the area of cylinder

  1. It's radius : 4cm
  2. It's height : 14cm

Area of cylinder : 2πr( r + h )

2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 4(4 + 14)

2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 4 (18)

25.15 \times 18  = 452.7 {cm}^{2}

solution ⤵️

curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh

given data

radius of the cylinder =4cm

height of the cylinder =14cm

now we will find the csa of the cylinder

to find the csa of cylinder we follow these process:-

curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh

curved surface area of the cylinder =2×22/7×4×14=352cm²

lateral surface area of cylinder =2πr²

lateral surface area of cylinder =2×22/7×4×4=100.57cm²

tsa of the cylinder =2πr(r+h)=2×22/7×4(4+14)=452.57cm²

cylinder:-

A cylinder is defined as a surface consisting of all the points on all the lines which are parallel to a

given line and which pass through a fixed plane curve in a plane not parallel to the given line. Suchcylinders have, at times, been referred to as generalized cylinders .
