Given : PN = 20.8 m MA = 12.4 m and BO = 16.6 m.

To Find : Area of field MNOP

cost of reaping the field at the rate of Rs. 45 per m²

Solution:

Area of field MNOP = Area of ΔMNP + Area of ΔONP

Area of ΔMNP = (1/2) PN * MA

Area of ΔONP = (1/2) PN * BO

Area of field MNOP =  = (1/22) PN * MA + (1/2) PN * BO

= (1/2) PN ( MA + BO)

= (1/2) (20.8 ) ( 12.4 + 16.6)

= 10.4 ( 29)

= 301.6 m²

Cost of reaping the field = 45 x   301.6

= 13,572 Rs
