Area of 2 ∆ =

So , we have to find base

By PGT,

$b \: = \sqrt{ {h}^{2} - {p}^{2} }$

$b \: = \: \sqrt{25 - 9} \\ b = \sqrt{16} \\ b = 4 \: cm$

Area of 2 triangle = b × h

= 4×3

= 12 cm²

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 5 × 7

= 35 cm²

Area of figure = 35 cm² + 12 cm²

= 47 cm²
