The parallelogram is a composite of 2 triangles:

Area of Triangle = 1/2 x base x height

Triangle 1 = 1/2 x 20 x 9.5 = 95 m²

Triangle 2 =  1/2 x 20 x 7.5 = 75 m²

Total area = 95 + 75 = 170 m²

Question (B):

Area of parallelogram = length x height

Area = 12 x 8.5  = 102 cm²
