As you can see the figure consists of two trapeziums

So we will take out area of both of them and add them

Area of First Trapezium : 1/2 × h (a+b)

Height = 12 cm

Length of two parallel sides = 24 cm and 15 cm

Area = 1/2 × h (a+b)

        = 1/2 × 12 (24+15)

        = 234 cm sq

Area of Second  Trapezium : 1/2 × h (a+b)

Height = 10 cm

Length of two parallel sides = 15 cm and 21 cm

Area = 1/2 × h (a+b)

        = 1/2 × 10 (15+21)

        = 180 cm sq

Area of the figure = 234 + 180

                             = 414 cm sq
