To find : area of Green figure

Solution:

Let say Height of green area = H  cm

and Width  =  W  cm

Area of green figure   = WH  cm²

(8 - W) * H  = 25

(9 - W)* H  = 32

=> (9 - W) H  - (8 - W)H  = 32 - 25

=> H ( 9 - W  - 8 + W)  = 7

=>  H = 7

(8 - W) * H  = 25

=> 8H  - WH  = 25

=> WH = 8H  - 25

=> WH = 8(7) - 25

=> WH = 56 - 25

=> WH = 31

Area of green figure = 31 cm²
