Answer:Heya,

Given:-

Base = 5cm

Perimeter = 11cm

An isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides and one inequal side

So,

Let the equal side be "x"

a = x

b = x

c = 5

Perimeter = a + b + c

=> 11 = x + x + 5

=> 11 - 5 = 2x

=> 6 = 2x

=> 6/2 = x

=> 3 = x

Therefore,

Sides are 3, 3, 5

s = P/2

s = 11/2

s = 5.5

Area = √s ( s-a ) ( s-b ) ( s-c )

Area = √5.5 × (5.5 - 3) (5.5 - 3) (5.5 - 5)

Area = √5.5 × 2.5 × 2.5 × 0.5

Area = √11 × 0.5 × 5 × 0.5 × 5 × 0.5 × 0.5

Area = 0.5 × 5 × 0.5 √11

Area = 1.25√11cm^2 (or)

Area = 4.1457809879...

Area = 4.14cm^2

Hope my answer helps you :)
