area of shaded region =area of //GM-area of rt triangle

=7×6-(½×3×6)

=42-9

=33cm²

area of parallelogram AECD= base ×height

so, 4×6 cm square=24cm square

Now,area of parallelogram ABCD= area of triangle (ABE)+area of parallelogram (AECD)

=(9+24) cm square

= 33 cm square
