Given : The given figure is a parallelogram , base BC is 10cm and altitude AE is 3 cm . if the length of altitude is 5cm to the base CD

To find :  The length of CD .

Answer : Are of parallelogram = height * base

= AE * BC

= 3 cm *  10 cm

= 30 cm^{2}

AF = 5 cm = length of altitude

CD = Area/height

= \frac{30}{12}

= 2.5 cm

so the length of CD is 2.5 cm
