Given -

  • Base of a parallelogram = 0.4m
  • Altitude of a parallelogram = 25cm

To find -

  • Area of the parallelogram.

Solution -

Here we have base and height of the parallelogram and need to find its area.

But the base of parallelogram is given in metre unit. Firstly we have to change it in cm.

➛ Base = 0.4m = 40cm

Area of a parallelogram is given by

Area (parallelogram) = Base × Height

Putting values in the formula

\sf{\dashrightarrow{Area_{(Parallelogram)} = 40 \times 25}}

\sf{\dashrightarrow{Area_{(Parallelogram)} = 1,000}}

\bf{\dashrightarrow{\purple{Area_{(Parallelogram)} = 1,000cm^2}}}

Hence,

  • Area of the parallelogram is 1,000cm².
