Find the area of pentagon PQRST in which QD L PR, RE L PS and TF I PS such that PR = 10 cm, PS = 12 cm, QD = 3 cm, RE = 7 cm and TF = 5 cm.

Given,

PQRST is a pentagon

PR = 10 cm

PS = 12 cm

QD = 3 cm

RE = 7 cm

TF = 5 cm

Area of pentagon PQRST

=Area of ΔPST + Area of ΔPRS + Area of ΔPQR

=1/2 x 5 x 12 + 1/2 x 7 x 12 + 1/2 x 3 x10

= 30 + 42 + 15

=87 cm²
