Find the area of PQRS if PR = 16.5 m, SA=4.2 m, QB = 3.8 m. Also, find
the cost of painting the picture at the rate of 5 per cm².

PR = 16.5

SA = 4.2

QB = 3.8

so according to the given diagram in the triangle PSR the PR is perpendicular till the point S so it is the altitude of the triangle

Now, area of PSR

Area = \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height

Area = \frac{1}{2} \times 16.5 \times 4.2

Area = 34.65

similarly in the triangle PQR the area of PQR is

Area = \frac{1}{2} \times 16.5 \times 3.8

Area = 31.35

now total area

34.65 + 31.35 = 66 cm^2

so cost of painting will be

66 \times 5 = 330 \: rupees
