Answer:

First of all we can see that the area of triangle ABC+ area of triangle ADC = Area of the quadrilateral ABCD

Hence,

Area of triangle ABC

=1/2×3.8×6

=3.8×2

=11.4 cm^2

Similarly,

Area of triangle ACD

=1/2×7.2×6

=7.2×3

=21.6 cm^2

So,area of the quadrilateral

=(21.6+11.4)cm^2

= 33cm^2

So,the area of the quadrilateral ABCD is 33cm^2
