In Triangle AEF, Area of triangle = 1/2 *b*h

Base= 2cm   ------(2x=12-8=4 hence x=2)

Height=2cm----given

Now make perpendicular from D to AC at point Q

Area = 1/2*2*2=2

Now, Area of rectangle EDQF

= 2*8=16

Now AREA of Triangle ABC

=1/2*4*12=24

Area of Quadrilateral = 16+24+2+2=44
