Answer:

In tri. ADC,

AC2 = AD2 +DC2

= 81+ 144

=√225

AC =15

In tri. ACD,

BC2= AB2 -AC2

= 289-225

BC= √64

BC=8

Area of quadrilateral ABCD

= Ar(tri.ADC) + Ar(tri.ACD)

1/2×12×9+1/2×8×15

=54+60

=114
